A review of beRecruited
Site: beRecruited
Members: ???
Features: beRecruited is another site revolved around high school athletes connecting with college coaches. Users can fill out their profile, post blogs, upload videos, and photos. Users are rewarded for participating in the community with fan points.
There is also a Digg like news section where people can vote on, e-mail, and share stories. Teams, both high school and club, are ranked by their active participation on the site.
Another great feature is that if coaches visit the profiles of the athlete it tells you that you were viewed by them, the transparency is pretty interesting.
Review: While Takkle has a more polished look I have to say that beRecruited has some interesting features that I think set it apart. I like the fact that it is transparent about who is viewing your profile, because the one thing that isn’t transparent in general is college recruiting.
Also I think that Takkle embraces more of the smaller sports openly than Takkle which concentrates on a lot of the major male sports. beRecruited right off the bat presents these sports and embraces club teams which thrive usually in these niches.
Overall I like where they are headed.
