A review of Classmates.com
Site: Classmates

Members: ???
Features: Classmates allows people to reconnect with past classmates. (Shocking, huh?) Users can create a profile, upload photos, write notes, and participate in groups.
They have a membership program that unlocks … well most of the functionality of the site. You can’t message without a gold membership. In fact without a membership you account is virtually worthless.
Review: I hate classmates. I always have. It is regarded as one of the large social networks around although there is nothing social about it. The fact that you have to pay to be able to receive messages is beyond annoying. Of course there is always one friend that you went to school with that hasn’t been smart enough to sign up to Facebook that has to send you a message which makes you get a membership with just continues to auto renew.
I hope everyone in the world catches onto Facebook so I can avoid classmates forever. The pop ups, the constant e-mails, and just their constant barrage of advertising around the web annoys me to no end. I will give them credit on one thing though they have vastly improved the layout and functionality of their site.
