Features: Fubar is the first “online bar” which has it’s own set of currency. There are profiles, shoutboxes, profiles, a message system, music players, games, gifts and numerous other features.
I would go indepth into some of the features if the design didn’t make me want to shoot my computer.
Review: Fubar is an aesthetic abortion. In fact that might be too nice. It might be one of the ugliest and poorest designed sites I have ever seen. I almost had a convulsion from their scrolling content. (They have two bars on the page scrolling at once.)
Having the site run off of a black background makes it an incredibly massive eye sore. It is like someone that designed a shitty MySpace page started a social network.
Next to hoverspot.com this might be my least favorite social networking site I have ever seen or used.

fubar has a major flaw that has come to the attention of the federal trade commission as well as paypal and most the major banking institutions for there rather brazen acts of fraud and theft by deception.
not only is fubar being investigated so heavily but they have also been named as defendents in atleast 15 class action lawsuits. alot of the long time members are leaving the site or being forced out for speaking up and defending themselves against the communist like acts of its ownership.
scrapper and babyjesus they two who are the men behind running the site and owners of it are to of the most ego power driven nutjobs in the history of social networking.
furthermore there membership count is complete crap as they do not remove the email address of those members who have deleted or were deleted and count those emails as members even though they are no longer there.
when confronted about it they tell you its there site will run it as they see fit and can do as they please and then promptly either suspend your account or delete it or reset it or take away various privelages.
i strongly recomend that no one join fubar.com.

as a reply to your comment left i fully agree .. i purchased a 99.99$ bling pack and never recieved it and sent an email to scrapper to only be humiliated. he accused me of fraud for using my own bank card and even after showing proof of my payment on my bank statement all i got outta it for asking why i didnt recieve my bling pack was my account locked and i had a paid VIP and not only that they deleted my husbands VIP account for no reason what so ever. my account is not deleted but i can not access it. i have reported them to my bank as well as FTC and Internet Crime Center but have not heard anything back yet. my bank said i will get my money back within 10 days . but pretty sad that they do good customers that pay alot of money to be on there.so yep people beware you WILL be ripped off and treated like shit cuz they sure do have a ego power trip going i just wish some of these dam agencies would shut there ass down or something
All you have to do is send the receipt of your purchase to support@fubar.com. Include your user ID. We track every transaction. You would have better results following the procedures clearly outlined in the HELP section than ranting about how we are ripping you off. The offer is always open. We do not burn anyone.
Scrapper, that’s a bunch of shit. I was deleted and banned over accepting a friend’s request. I was also IP banned. I lost money on the site, a TON of bling, and everything else. I have NEVER given anyone any problems on the site, had ALWAYS complied with the TOS and generally not been a pain in the ass. You’re one of the most hateful and vindictive people on that site. You refuse to get off your power tripping, ego filled ass to help people that have legitimate problems with the site, or harassment, abuse or anything else on there.

Can you identify the class action lawsuits that they have been named in? I too was ripped off and I cannot get any answers as to why after dumping 100.00 into the account, it was immediately frozen.

I have some things I would like to say about FUBAR.com Mike aka Babyjesus and Ryan aka scrapper deleted my account because I called them out on their bullshit. My account was deleted because I had the F word in my status so after making a new account and posting pics I had as proof and asking why girls can put the F word in their status and not get deleted I got deleted again. So again I did this five more times and never got an answer. Fubar is sexest toward men because Mike and Ryan just care about all the naked girls they get to see so if your a guy and you rock the boat a little they just delete you and tell you to read the TOS. I believe that Fubar has 2 sets of rules they play by. Why don’t they have a phone number? Why don’t they make their address known to the public? Because they dont want to be reported to the BB anymore. I know for a fact they like to with hold your CC# and charge for stuff you never get they also are being watched by the NAACP for racism and hate crimes. I’ll i asked them to do was put my level back to where it was when they deleted my first account and they didn’t do it instead they deleted 5 other accounts because they don’t like it when you prove them wrong.
Well the FTC sure liked what I had to tell them about fubar. So now that I have filed a complaint with the BBB and the FTC I will sit back and watch them go down. See Mike AKA babyjesus and Ryan Riccitelli AKA Scrapper all u had to do was make things right but your egos got in the way. So I hope u like this can of worms u just opened up :) you mess with the wrong person. The next phone calls I make will be to the news media so I hope your ready for the shit storm that is coming your way.
This guy was so mad about a problem with his account, he has decided to stalk me and spam insults and threats. I got like five of these today. I am here to help with support questions. I find it a bit over the top when users take things to this extreme. This is probably why he was removed from the site. This type of behavior and mentality is not good for any site. The goal is to have fun. If you need help, be civil and you will get the help you need.

This is not true. We do not chase away our customers. That makes no sense. There is no conspiracy. The only time we suspend people is if you defraud the site. In other words, you buy things, use them and charge them back or dispute them, OR if you are constantly harassing people. Most of the people I see here complaining were suspended. The only people suspended are people who do shady things. You can get unsuspended if you pay your bill or just talk to us. To expect us to allow you to steal from us or commit fraud on the site and allow you to continue on the site makes no sense. We take care of our people. However, if you act like a fool and we are like any other establishment. We will refuse service. Who wants a bunch of haters always hating on the good people.

fubar.com well i was a member for 3 years and in that three years i watched the site change from a place to chill make friends and have fun a well presentd fun friendly site. as the popularity grew the owners of the site begain to change it for the worse. Used to be there were no requirements to level beisdes a verified salute to get past level ten and what ever points the next level requires. now you have to refer so many of your friends to move up levels and the previous referals dont count towards new required level amount. you have to pay for some of the levels there currency fu bucks and now even real money for a few. they added alot to the site but all these new additions cost you money. the amounts they want to charge for fake things on a website is down right greedy. as for being a non vip member your options are limited and will not elvel up anywhere near as fast as vips no matter how hard you try. they have crafted there site to force you to spend your hard earned money on there in mass quanties. they have designed there site to be highly addictive and time consuming. they claim to be advertisement free but they add more and more everyday. the two boys who run the site have no problem flaunting how great they are at getting your money from you and how they do not give a damn about there members and its all about the money. they constantly hound you to get them new members because they know more members equals more money. millions a year mean nothing to them they are a classic case of greed. they even go as far as putting charges through to your bank account and your paypal without your consent. when you dispute these charges and win they call you a thief and lock you out of your account. when you speak up and file complaints against them with the bbb and ftc they go as far as threatening you to get you to remove your complaints. they do not like the neg publicity for the simple fact it costs them money and that is all they care about.there claims about number of members is the biggest joke ever. anyone who has ever signed up and later deletd there account is still counted as a member and the email they used to sign up is foreverlogged into there system. they do this because there parent company pays them so much per member they have. when you go to them about fruad charges through there site they try and get you to drop your disputes and take site credit even if it means putting your bank acocunt into the negative. in all honesty the way the site is run and the members are treated by ownership it reminds me of a communist reign. i would strongly recomend everyone aviod this train wreck of a social networking site at all costs. there are multiple class action lawsuits and individual lawsuits against fubar.com and its ownership. there are tons of underage females on there who post nude pictures of themselves and site ownership is aware of it but because they pay money to the site and people pay money for site things to see these chicks pics the site doesnt care. there is clear prostitution going on the site and site ownership has been made well aware of it and yet does not care why because it makes them money and lots of it. the pathetic levels people stoop to for popularity on fubar is sad and pathetic. selling nude pictures videos and x rated cam shows to get things on the site is just plain sad. fubar ownership doesnt care what goes on there site as long as it makes them money and lots of it.seriously people DO NOT EVER GET IVOLVED WITH FUBAR IT IS NOT A MATTER OF IF BUT RATHER WHEN IT BECOMES A TARGET FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT ON ALL LEVELS.
I’ve been using fubar for a long time and I completely disagree with the comments above. I also went to the FTC and searched for any lawsuits/complaints and THERE ARE NONE. I haven’t seen any underage people on the site and the site’s bouncers aggressively pursue any underage photos and users — if you don’t believe me, try and upload a photo of a minor and I guarantee it will be taken down quickly.

Although I agree that the design of fubar is quite the eyesore, hoping it gets sued is a bit childish, no? Can you ask Lisa Sabin-Wilson who designed your site to reach out to fubar maybe?
BTW, good to see that early adoption of MySpace and a degree from the University of Buffalo can make one an authority on social media.
I guess the five years of working in social media probably kind of makes me an authority. But that isn’t what is up for discussion.
Fubar has done some pretty underhanded things to gain and audience and juke their numbers. It is documented in more than one place. They are bottom feeders just like tagged and just like hoverspot.
Also “Debbie” how many fake profiles do you have, your e-mail comes up as Bob Jones on Facebook.
Could you point me to your sources of documented evidence? I’d love to read about it and even help to get fubar to stop doing this stuff. Otherwise, I think your statements are libelous.

i just like to look at things objectively. obviously there will always be someone unhappy with a service provided. we as americans jump all over that shit all the time. we like to all talk a big game, but when it comes to doing something our subconcious kicks in cus we know we shouldnt be doing that in the first place because it will just come out that we were in the wrong to begin with.
I’m an avid fubar user and I think the above comments are just sour grapes. However, you don’t need to take my word on it. I think if you spent some time researching the site in your role as responsible blogger/journalist, you would not find any actions by the FTC nor class action lawsuits (easily looked up in the public record), that the site aggressively polices against kiddie porn/racist/ offensive material, the site doesn’t spam, and there are 1000′s and 1000′s of happy users (for example, search the twitter stream for fubar.com — all of these tweets can’t be faked; or even just use the site and chat a few users). IMO, you could easily verify this information if you wanted.
I enjoy the site and while I don’t think the site or UI is for everyone, I don’t like it when other people bash the site unfairly or just accept flame bait comments from other users. I suppose it’s possible that a few billing complaints have happened, but the site has over 3,000,000 users and they all can’t be happy customers.
Incidentally, I came across your blog via your twitter post about tagged being sued and I wanted to see if there was anything to your twit since I use fubar so much. But, it looks like you are just angry at fubar.com because of its ugly layout and hoverspot.com just because you don’t like their advertising revenue model (your hoverspot.com review is really superficial) so I’m not sure why you want them sued either.
Anyhow, that is just my two cents. I don’t think it is responsible journalism to not address the comments above in your blog.

The site is horribly designed, the business model is flawed, and it is just a low class, low end site that will probably not be around in the next year. If tagged is getting sued for the way they sent messages out misleading people fubar can’t be far behind because they have used a lot of the same tactics in the past.

This is another FALLACY. Everyone knows that we are a community regulated site. We do not tolerate anyone under the age of 18 on the site or any of the nonsense above.

Well here we go with the obvious. First, there’s John Doe here defending the so-called “social networking” site. John-boy, get a life.
Fubar operates on their member’s needs for attention, pure and simple. They draw you in for free, sure, but create a competition style “level” format and offer “bling” so that members can make it to the next level faster. This “bling” is a worthless series of cyber-gifts and fall under FTC law as unfit for sale. Fubar IS currently under investigation and will fall, its just a matter of when.
Only fools give their credit card/paypal info out over the internet, but anyone who gives this info out for an illegitimate and worthless reason is FUBAR (look up the acronym’s definition).
Recently FUBAR decided to play an April Fools joke on their fumafia players, it wasn’t funny. The joke cost a lot of players grief and led them to waste bling monies on worthless new equipment that was soon taken away. I personaly protested their action and my account was quickly frozen, name stripped away to a number, all my chat features frozen, banned from the games, etc. Friends are still allowed to bling me and gift me because that would create friction from them as well, if they were not allowed to spend their money on there.
Nothing on the site is really free, your going to pay for it in one way or the other.
If I stumble across across a class action suit, you can bet I’ll jump right on it and if enough people are tired of their little jokes etc. on there the might be one in the mill right now and I’ll post it here should it gain merit!

My acount just got locked because a friend of mine has supposed chargebacks on her credit card with fubar. They had locked her account and she claimed to not know why so we tried to help her and check it out. T$$ claimed to lock out my IP for doing so and i was reported to the fraud department for chargebacks also. I can log into my other profile that i made on fubar but not my own, so im guessing that its not my IP that got locked out. I dont buy anything on fubar (could that be why?). When i told T$$ she cannot do that she pretty much told me to go fuck myself and if the fraud department doesnt find anything in my account, it will be unlocked. i am (well i was) an active member. im done. if i was ever gonna buy anything, they just lost my business and many of my friends that will be leaving fubar. Isnt that why you post a salute, to prove that your pretty much who you say you are? im fed up with this whole bs thing. she basically told me thats what i get for trying to help a fellow fubar friend and to go fuck myself.

Yeah, my account was locked for supposed “fraud”. Scrapper sent me a list of all charges I’ve had since I opened the account and told me that if I wanted it back I had to sign a statement stating that I approved all charges. I have the e-mails if anyone is interested, as well as the paypal account showing that all payments went through. I asked if I could be informed of which charges were considered “fraudulent” and I’ve been ignored.

I was a member when they first started, until recently. I can say I dumped a lot of money into this site. First and foremost, I am not a sour grape, or I would have found means to get all of my money back because I am not longer there. The money does not matter. It’s what this site promotes. I have seen advertisements for it on myspace, and it brought me here, to do a review, and spread the word about Fubar’s practices, until I am heard, perhaps taking it to court if I have to, legislation, whatever.
This site is prostitution at its finest. Now Fubar will defend themselves and say they don’t force the members to do anything. Behind closed doors, they are crooks, and pimps of all the young girls, as they are the ones that allow these girls to sell themselves with their racy photos, half nude bodies, for bling packs, and Happy Hours and Bombs, and blasts. Let me explain what these are: A happy hour is 100.00. You can buy it, put your sleaziest pic up, and get friends and fans, while Fubar rakes it in, of course allowing the smut photo so that the buy seems worthy. Bling are gifts you send to each other. They used to have free gifts, but hey, let’s add these now. So, you will find many women(I have emails and proof) selling me nude photos of themselves, advertising it all over the site in blasts(which are paid inner ads in the site)with words such as :hey, cum to my page: etc etc. Blasts, blings, whatever, they will take their clothes off in front of the cam, and send it over once you buy them something, which of course makes BBjesus rich, and the IRS isn’t really seeing the income he is getting for selling these women. They will say they aren’t doing it, but yes they are, it happens all over the site. Their days are numbered. Many teens are on there, there is a little boy that had been in my page looking at my reg pics. When I sent his link to the mains, I was ignored because, get this, he was the “son” of one of the higher paying hos on Fubar. He was around 12. This site is sick. I have screen shots of this child, and several others. You can always contact me if you really want to make a difference. They need to be brought down! Sickos!! BBJ, and Scrapper, hideous horny old men acting as pimps.

I was invited top join fubar by someone from high school. I created an account and within a week emails were being sent to people from me! The problem was I never invited anyone to join and I do not know how they were sent. How did fubar get access to addresses of my friends? Can they get into my emails? This is the first social networking site I have been on but I read the terms and saw nothing about them having access to my contacts. Help

Obviously you’re going to say i work for FUBAR because i am going to defend them, but that is NOT the case. i am a long time member.
Well, first of all look at both sides of the coin.
1) all websites have to deal with fraud. Someone will always want something for nothing…especially in this economy. I’ve made many many many transactions on fubar and never ever once have ever had a problem. i have used paypal as well as directly from my credit card. If you have the proper documentation to back up your purchase you wont have a problem. In other words…dont try to cheat the system because you want something for free. Earn it like the rest of us.
2) Fubar does have scrolling users and tickers because people like being up there. The site listens to its users and takes them into consideration when making updates. I have had MANY of my site suggestions put into use. A user suggested that fubar donate to breast cancer awareness this month and oh my…they did!!!
3) there are NO class action suits against them. i work for a law firm that will remain namelss and i’ve checked. you should really fact check before you post nonsense.
4) its not facebook or myspace. if you dont like it, you dont have to join. Its easy to delete your account. people do it all the time when they see its not for them.
5) they have live support that is around 24 hours a day. can myspace or facebook say that? i dont think so.
so, to me…this article screams “i tried to f*ck over the site and get something for free and was burned”. next time use a legit credit card and not one thats got fraud written all over it. Someone unbiased and not butthurt about someone rejecting them on the site should have written this review.
fubar is about fun…friends…and entertainment. People shouldn’t take life so seriously. walk away from your computers and live a little. go read a book, its good for the soul.

Pimpinass should never have been brought into this forum…what a dumbass Christian Davies is for even saying a word. Has anyone reading this ever seen it? People above are complaining about prostitution, begging,and minors having access to material they should never see. In pimpinass the nudity is far more vulgar than Fubar, the women and men prostitute themselves even more rigorously because the influx of truly new members is so slow that anything new gets pounced on within minutes of entering the first time, and the worst of all has been exploited…DRUGS! In pimpinass users can buy virtual Ganja (aka pot, weed, etc) and Yayo (aka Cocaine). Is this even legal? There is absolutely no protection that keeps the curious 12 year old out either. The mods in pimpinass also use names that children are attracted to such as “Tinkerbell.” Does the admin of Pimpinass realize that the persons with money to spend are usually working professionals that would lose their jobs if they were ever found in a site like this? Does Christian even realize that at least 3 of his close admin are actually spilling the beans about all of the drama between himself and his group of unpaid admin including Tiffany. I happen to know that even Pimpinass has had PayPal issues for inappropriate content. As far as Fubar is concerned. I have been a member for years and although I do not agree with most of the practices there, I have had a pretty good experience. I know that the people that stay there like it there and I even know some who would like to see improvements as most people feel about any social site. The credit card thing is actually somewhat of a protection that Fubar just handles wrong. They lock people out to protect them but then they don’t communicate well so people get rightfully upset. Pimpinass is even worse. I joined when they first opened and because I didn’t upload a pic right away, I lost my account. Believe it or not, The uploader wasn’t working for me and I begged for help and got none. This is total nonsense. You would create an account and measure how quickly a spammer would hit the account. Tell the facts. I read this blog and most of it is written from users who were deleted for violating the terms of service. Our users know we bend over backwards to help them out. However, there is a point where the line must be drawn. Usually when you tell a user what they dont want to hear when you are trying to help them, they turn to blogs like this and write a bunch of nonsense.

That’s a bunch of crap. I too am an EX Fubar Bouncer of 2 1/2 years and a member for 3 years. They do not make you create any fake accounts. You are “allowed” to create a “test” account for testing issues or problems, but it’s not a requirement. Although I’ve had some issues with Fubar, and only 1 has ever been a financial one. I sent my issue to Scrapper and slowly, but surely it was taken care of. Not everybody agrees or likes the way Fubar is run, but truth is, I don’t like the way myyearbook is run. But I’m not going to spread lies to get them shut down. I just don’t go there anymore. On another issue, Mary C, how come you’re not whining about Zynga charging for things on their games? Must be a personal issue with Fubar and not a legal one huh?

PimpinAss.com has a log and currently logs the IP’s that Fubar sends to create fake minor accounts in a weak attempt to accuse the site of allowing it. I have many logged and recorded fubar accounts that are still on the site that came from child porn sites. Funny thing you all think i own PimpinAss.com and you even have that wrong numb nuts…It’s TIFFANY CARMONA. They do have staff one person can’t run a site like that…but what would you know WHITEBYRD , you got your account deleted because of your 4 fake profiles. Violating the TOS…. ADVICE moron…do your homework.

Fubar also allows sex offenders on the site aka FU-DADDY and aka FAT SONNY both have recorded offenses on that site for child related sex offenses. FU-Daddy like girls with soap in they’re mouths and Fat Sonny made sexual remarks on a 8 year old girl photo, both of which were recorded.
I am thinking about closing comment son this. First of all both sites are horrible and pretty much garbage. They are ugly and are kind of the cesspool of social media.

Dear Kevin Palmer…I can understand you may not like sites like this. But however this turned into not what the site is, but more how they run. Here’s an IDEA Kevin instead of complaining how about, getting off your ass and build one yourself, and find out how hard and time consuming they are to run and develop. 80% of Social Site users on the net, are know it all whiny little bitches…that’s nothing new. As for PimpinAss.com it was made buy the users for the users, so it doesn’t matter what you want..it what the clients want.
Considering I advise multiple social networking sites I think I would put my knowledge up against anyone in this space.
FUBAR is one of the worst designed social media sites I have ever come across. Period.

I am not a web designer so I am a bit ignorant. Can someone please tell me how you can police a website to sustain only users who are eighteen years of age, or older, without the use of credit cards, or some other shady act? The point is, my thirteen-year-old son could get on the site and say that he is eighteen.
I recently tried playing Fubar’s mafia game, and they basically beg you to send out invite links to other sites and if people accept these invites, it gives you mercenaries in the game that greatly improves your chance to win in the game. Well, I had sent out a bunch of these invites and once several people did accept the invites and my mercenaries started to build up, I was immediately contacted by the Fubar staff and down-right accused of cheating and making fake mercenaries.
Now it really pissed me off that when I was only doing what they are begging people to do by sending out invite links, only to be called a cheater when the people started to accept the invites, but none the less, I tried to talk with the support staff to find out why they thought I was cheating and get some details so I could at least defend my self against these charges and maybe be able to satisfy them that I wasn’t, and be able to continue to play the game! Well, they would not even tell me why they thought I was cheating and would not give me any details, but would only threaten me saying they knew i was and if I didn’t stop they would take further admin actions!
At one point, they said if both me and my girfriend would post “salute” photo’s to prove we were real, they would allow us to play mafia….. yet once we did this, thinking it would clear up things and we’d be able to play the game, they only messed with us more and kept on rejecting approving our salutes and would not tell us why they were rejecting them, and our salutes did meet their every requirement too, so they were just intentionally messing with us!
The whole time I was trying to talk with them to try to work this out, they were very much coming across with me in the most arrogant way I have ever seen…. it was like their attitude was, you had better just do what we say scum bag… and if you do, and kiss ours butts a while lot…. we just MIGHT allow you the privilege of playing our game and being a member of our site…. but of course we will mess with you in a bunch of very childish ways for quite some time first, because you dared top question what we said!
These folks are by far the worse customer oriented web site I have ever seen, they just treated me and my girlfreind like shit, demeaned us in every way they could and were so chicken shit they wouldn’t eve tell us why they were doing all of this, other than to say they knew I was cheating…. I was also ripped of from fubar. My mom has an account on there and she used my card to get a vip or something and some how i got charged 249.99 and when my mom went to the people and asked them to credit it back for charging way to much they only kept charging rather than putting it back. They owe me over 7,000& total and its been months and i have yet to get ANYTHING back!!! im only 19 i dont know how to do any of this. it never should have happened. if your wondering how a 19 year old has that much money…i was bit by a dog when i was little…enough said…i just want my money back!! i need it idk what to do!
Ummmmm… ok first question is this: why did you not call your credit card company and tell them that you dispute the charges? That right there would have blocked Fubar from making additional charges. Why was your mother using your card in the first place? Something is not right there…..
Secondly, for those who are having wonderful experiences, booyah for you, but don’t come down on those of us that have not had such wonderful experiences. Third of all, there are pending lawsuits in the works against the site, however the lawsuits are pending in Santa Clara County, California. Fubar has been in violation of California’s anti-stalking laws – which means that the website which is operating in California, cannot knowingly allow the acts of cyber bullying and cyber stalking to occur on the site. Both laws have been violated repeatedly. Do I use the site? Yes, am I happy with it, NO. The site has become overly money oriented and money driven by the owner Baby J…. yes he is still part owner of this site. The problems with the site have grown due to recent *AHEM* changes from programmers and designers who don’t have a clue as to what they are doing. Unfortunately, these changes have created the other problems such as the fraud issues. The site has the potential to be good, however an administrative overhaul is severely needed and that includes the majority of the “bouncers”. They should be replaced with impartial, knowledgeable people who have actually designed and programmed a website as well as people who do care about their “customers” and not the almighty dollar. Once those two areas are addressed, there might be some redemption for the website.
hello fubar did something weird to me because all my friends got erased including my pictures & my username. Don’t really know why they did this but from info on this site maybe they want me to give them money or something like that because I was a free member. I was only on there since the beginning of 2009 because it looked like an interesting site but I’m not interesting in getting ripe off. I know a con when I see on after all my family used to work at a homeless shelter & all kinds of people came in there. Mostly they were homeless because of an addiction i.e. legal like alcohol or illegal substances. Then there were people who were looking to better themselves. There is something wrong with a social networking site when it says they can delete your account for no reason! I never broke any of their rules either.

All businesses write similar clauses into their TOS anymore because of fraudulent, or disruptive consumers. I think it is rather up front that they do tell you that they reserve that right. They do reserve that right under the laws as they are written. I believe that they do not even need to provide you with a written warning of it. I had an unpaid account for almost 3 years before I ever spent a dime on the site. They have never deleted anything on that account.
I was alerted to this blog and wanted to address many of the fallacies written here. Some of this stuff is so ludicrous, it emanates the steamy lumps that people throw at us when they do not get their way. We try our hardest to work with everyone. All this hogwash about investigations, etc is just that. I would suggest communicating with our support team in an adult manor and I am certain most of your problems will be resolved. If you have burned us for money or disputed charges, we will work with you, but you can’t expect to run up your bill and dine and ditch without any recourse. First: I am in no way affiliated, paid, or receiving any type of compensation by Social Networks, Inc. or any of their affiliates. When dealing with money, people tend to get a little hot headed. This is a well known fact. Another well known fact is that; when dealing with financial transactions of any sort you should take the necessary steps to protect yourself from fraud. This is where most people with a grudge fail to measure up. As FUBAR.com is an online vendor of social entertainment relying solely on electronic equipment to provide their services, risks are a little bit higher than face to face material transactions. Expect there to be issues at some point, all businesses have them. Also as a business entity with protected rights, do not expect to be able to fraud the business or make threats against them or their employees without consequence. Unfortunately as I stated before, when there is a delay or error that occurs during a financial transaction people become worried, aggressive, and even hostile very quickly. The second most important thing to remember, after DOCUMENTATION, is patience. The people who are there to address your concerns are only human and can only act so fast. You providing the correct and thorough documentation will speed up this process and make life less stressful for everyone involved. It is also very difficult to want to help someone who is slandering, kicking and screaming, let alone the delay in acquiring much needed information that is critical to resolving your issue that this causes. Now with my own experience with FUBAR.com. I too have had financial transactions drift into the cyber-abyss, however the issues were quickly resolved (within 48 hours). I may have been more fortunate in that my issues were easily traceable and explainable. That is not always the case in any business. In fact my experience working in the banking division of a Fortune 10 corporation, these types of disputes often take up to 90 days to be resolved. Sometimes even longer depending on the legal and logistic complications involved, as well as the cooperation of the plaintiff in providing needed information. These are all things that you may not be aware or concerned with, but the companies and legal entities are well aware. If you do not take the precautions to protect your finances do not expect any business to do it for you. I do not have the statistics or quantitative data of Social Networks, Inc.’s banking transactions, but I will reach out to say from my observations, the company processes thousands of monetary transactions daily. With that more than likely being the case, expect a few errors as no company has a 100% success rate. Even the top dogs in commerce still have to go to great lengths to achieve 97% success. When they do occur, keep your cool or expect to be banned from any business’s website, physical location, and/or means of communication. If you have proactively and authentically taken all steps to protect yourself then rest assured that these companies will do what they can to accommodate you. Each individual within these organizations gain no benefit by defrauding you and your $100 will never go in their pocket so their is no motive to make them want to do this to you. When you verbally or submit in written form threats and loose your cool they are however very unmotivated to resolve your issue in a timely matter. Honestly, for as grassroots oriented as Fubar began, the site has come along way and grown greatly in complexity in which the administration has dealt with very well. They seem to be constantly improving their operational processes. Of course their are some drawbacks which are expected with the rate of growth. The main one being the design of their complaint resolution processes. As for the nature of the site it may seem that they are unconcerned with your issues by some of the automated commentary and less than customer friendly complaint process that I will agree needs to be ironed out. However the processes do work, when you work with them and not against them and remain civil, cooperative and patient. I am not a very patient person myself at times when it comes to my money, and I explain that to them and apologize in advance that I may be a little sarcastic and unreasonable at times but that I am just venting my frustrations but intend nothing to be taken personally. I think they understand and expect that to some degree and have shown some tolerance of my actions. I am not perfect, what can I say. I originally joined this site September 13th, 2006. I still have that account and even a couple others I do not use. I have been frustrated and deleted accounts and I currently do not use my original account. I have also dumped A LOT of money into their business and have not been penalized for my bending of TOS due to my laziness towards removing my old accounts. That may change since I have decided to air that in this post. Who knows. Bottom line do not expect any company to protect your money and do not think that any company trying to achieve leadership in their field to blatantly steal your money. They are well aware that it is not in their long-term best interest and it is completely illogical. This is not a fly-by-night company, or they would have flown along time ago or been sent to the chicken coup. So take some personal responsibility, something all of you seem to lack understanding in.

I am a former bouncer. I recently resigned and have been on the site for going on 2 yrs. Most of you have encountered me at one point or another. I take exception at comments made about bouncers. I want anyone of you to show me proof that I was rude or nasty to you. When you reported cam girls, minors or spammers, I aggressively went after them and turned them in. When it came to financial issues, I told you exactly what to do and I can not help it if you can not follow instructions to the letter. Bouncers are not fu gods and don’t have the power to deal with everything. I did my best to help people and sometimes I went above and beyond what I was supposed to do to assist members.
Then why is it that, every time I ever went to furoulette, the most common camera video i would see was some male holding his penis? How is this not a violation of the ToS? How is this not improper use of the site?
Cont: In almost 2yrs I have seen the site improve greatly. When I first joined I was like WTF am I doing here. I have bought bling packs, VIPs and never had a problem getting them. Bouncers are there to assist the members with any issues they have and they do the best they can. You have to remember the bouncer team are members like everyone else, they are held to a higher standard also. Being a bouncer can be stressful and exhausting because they are constantly dealing with irate members in support and in their chat boxes. I would like for anyone to step into a bouncers shoes for a month and I guarantee you would be screaming “I quit”. Even though Im not a bouncer, I will still support them when I can and help the members. Just stop bashing the bouncers so much.
They do not like it if you complain. They have locked my mafia player. No warning no explanation. They are probably mad because I posted some rants about how unfairly they treat people. They have “lotteries” in which you can win various “rackets” banks, hospitals, and other such things. It is supposed to be luck of the draw yet every winner so far has been a VIP member which costs money or they have bought a lot of “bling”. One player has even won twice in less than a month but that player ha spent huge amounts of money which is easily seen by his/her 44 billion dollar value. No one playing without paying money has a value like that. I hope they get shut down.
Not true. I won a “racket” and I am not a VIP member. We’ve won twice and both times no ranking members of the turf, were VIP members. Do I belieive they do as they please and play some sort of favorites? Yes. I, myself have had several issues that I immediately wrote various members of the staff(Bouncers, Scrapper, eric, even posted in the blogs) that were either never replied or published in the blogs. I understand that their inboxes are probably flooded with emails, but its not like it just happens once, its happened a lot. I even went as far as sb’n a bouncer directly and nothing. As for the mafia part – I’ve seen them lock people out of playing and not given any kind of reason or even warning. These people are left clueless as to what they supposedly did. They implement changes to the site – fine, makes it more interesting. But honestly, when it comes to them actually managing the site, I think that needs work. I know talking for myself. I have helped tons of people with various things. Even taken the time to walk people thru the problems they are having. I have reported fraudulent accounts, advertisement accounts and even underage accounts.
The actions a member takes to recieve, reward, or falsify info to get what they want. IE* fake accounts, fake mercs, etc etc etc. Each and everyone that has been deleted, banned, or locked out of mafia/fubar has done something to break the TOS Guidelines in one way or another. All anyone has to do is follow rules. They are there for a reason. If you cant follow simple well outlines rules, you dont need to be on fubar. Thats why you are blocked, banned and/or deleted.

The first point I want to address is the complaint that the website commits credit card fraud. As an adult, I have learned to protect myself from fraud, identity theft, etc. First and foremost, since joining in January 2010, I have NEVER had a problem with the administrators of fubar.com. That being said, I know from experience that customer service issues of any nature can usually be resolved by following the appropriate procedures.
As for the other complaints I have read in this blog, it seems to me that the perfect solution is to either 1)stop using the site, or 2)stop taking a social networking site so seriously. It’s just the internet, folks, take a moment to step back and look at the issues that are upsetting you. Have you watched the news, lately? Have you taken a look at the world around you? There are SERIOUS problems in the world, and you are choosing to waste your energy and efforts bashing a website because of virtual issues.
To clarify, at this point I am referring to complaints about the mafia, the referrals, the “spam” (which, btw, I do not receive spam because I’ve chosen to use the nifty little feature they offer in “settings” that allows you to choose the emails you do not wish to receive), the friends you CHOSE to trust who stabbed you in the back, the fubucks, and things of that nature. As for ANY and ALL complaints about these particular aspects of the site, again 1)stop using the site, or 2)stop taking it so seriously.
If, at any point, I have a problem with fubar.com…I will simply delete my account and move on with my life. Additionally, if I ever experience credit card issues with the site, and have unresolved issues after following the appropriate procedures, I will be taking measures OTHER than complaining on a random internet forum.
I respectfully suggest that perhaps those of you who are complaining should take a moment to reevaluate the amount of energy you are exerting to bash a website you so thoroughly despise. I’m certain you all have more important aspects of your life that could use your attention.
Marcie, people will not stop. America has given its citizens the freedom and right to speak their mind and publickly slander anyone, usually without recourse. And, it seems, everyone likes that right. I understand your attempt to subdue this debate. However, it was futile, and I am certain that it will do no less than spurn more negative responses.
MMkay I have stated my opinion clearly…but will also say they are now only accepting new members by invite…maybe if they deleted the idiots with multiple accts and the people who have BEGGED to have their profiles deleted…they would have more room

An Honest Review of Fubar.com
I have been a member of fubar (Also known by other names as it evolved) for 3 1/2 years. I don’t work for the site, I don’t live in California and I don’t have the instant messenger, telephone numbers, personal email addresses or any other contact information of any of the fubar staff.
I did volunteer as a bouncer on the site for a period of time until personal obligations took away the time that I would need to spend as a bouncer so I chose to resign.
fubar is a Social Networking website with a twist, that twist being the addition of a points game to “level” on the site. The game takes certain twists along the way and like life itself the game changes. New goals are added and some old goals are removed when they are no longer relevent to the overall game.
fubar is an 18+ web site, 18+ is by no means to be taken as an adult website. Just because a person is 18+ doesn’t mean they are an adult, if they were they would definately know how to act like one.
The design of the site (black background) was chosen to make the site easier on a persons eyes so that they would be able to spend more time on the site without developing eyestrain or headaches that other colors can cause should the person choose to be there for extended hours.
Unfortunately all web sites need to have some form of income to be able to stay up and running. The fubar site started with blasts as an income and as the popularity of the site increased, so did the offerrings of ways to help support the site. This support from the membership of the site helps it to grow and evolve as the needs arise. All of these offerring have managed to keep the site advertisement free since its humble beginning. Those member that can afford to spend money, and even some that can’t choose of their own free will if they wish to spend on the site. There are no requirements on the site for a person to spend any of their hard earned money.
Yes, if a member chooses to spend some money, they will advance in the game faster. But that is their choice, is advancing in the game more important to them or is the social networking of the site more important? Personal choices each individual must make.
To the best of my knowledge fubar.com is owned by BabyJ (Mike), Scrapper (Ryan) and from the last word I had one other person thats name is unknown to me. Yes, it shows as the flagship of Social Concepts, the company that sits as the head of all the fubar related websites and ventures.
Overall, fubar.com is a great web site, filled with interesting people that can become great friends. I highly recommend you come see it for yourself, give it an honest try. If you are female and confronted by a pervert, block them. If you are male and come wanting to be a pervert, plan on being blocked.
