A review of Netlog
Site: Netlog

Members: 35,028,715 members with 7,102,597 English speaking members
Features: The first time you visit Netlog you are asked what language you want to see the site in. From there a cookie is set in your browser that will redirect you to your preferred language each time you visit the site. There is a lot of diversity across the site with active communities in all languages.
Netlog has a lot of services you would expect to see on a social networking site. You can browse through other users profiles, commend and rate pictures, post blogs, upload videos, share events, share links, and discover new music. There is also a section just for brands that allow people to connect to their favorite companies and products.
Users can also join clans that are groups without the message boards. There is photo sharing and your latest blog posts will show up but that is about it.
New to the site is the ability to skin your profile as well as deploy applications.
Review: I like the navigation of Netlog a lot. I think their interface design is very easy to use and it is appealing to the eye. The actual profile and pages of people/brands leave a little to be desired because it seems like everything is floating in a grey box.
There are areas on the site with a lot of activity. I think the clans are an underdeveloped feature that probably could have a more robust feature set. I like the idea that users can post their blogs to the clan and use that as a jumping off point to the conversation but I would like to see it intertwined with a traditional message board.
As general social networking sites go I think this is one of the better looking sites I have reviewed.
