A Site Review of The Broth

By: Kevin Palmer on 11/11/2008

Site: TheBroth

Members: ???

Features: TheBroth has developed a white label widget to display your work on various social networking sites. It is the first thing you see when you get onto the site. In fact if you are a new member you don’t know where the network actually is unless you click around on the tabs. The developer’s blog hasn’t been updated since 2007 and the forums haven’t had activity in close to ten months.

While this inactivity would indicate that the site is completely dead users are still doing collaborative art projects on the site in “rooms”. These rooms allow users to create projects in different styles like mosaic, graffiti, and watercolors.

Social networking features on the site include a very basic profile and a blog.

Review: The social networking features and blog really are basic and is not a draw on the site. With the site overall seeming pretty inactive the only feature that really stands out is the collaborative rooms which still have people using them.

These rooms are really the only feature worth using. Everything else on the site is outdated, underdeveloped, or not active.
