Members: ????

Features: Members can join different groups that of things they are a fan of. Within the groups people can share links, images, videos, talk in a forum, put up questions for voting, participate in quizzes, post articles, images, and connect with each other.

You can create different groups if there isn’t an official club. Additionally users are allowed to create basic profiles.

Review: Fanpop had an easy layout to navigate, the appearance of the site had a very Web 2.0 feel to it. The user activity in these groups was really high it was interesting to see the interactions. The site skews to a younger audience and has had a steady traffic increase over the year.

I had a hard time telling if some of the pages were officially run by the shows, movies, or brands that are affiliated with them. Even if they weren’t there was so much fan user generated content to keep these groups growing that is remarkable to watch. This site is one worth watching.

However there was one thing that drove me insane was the sheer amount of advertising offers that appeared after you signed up, Talk about a bad first impression to give.
