Features: You can choose to receive news and information from Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, San Francisco, and the mysterious “elsewhere”. Within the community section you can fill out a profile as well as list events, list your exhibit, post a job listing, post a blog, and join various groups.
For an artist that exhibits I can see how this site could become a valuable tool as you are able to organize list by event, venue, artist, openings, etc. Constructing and managing the lists are very easy to do. This is a pretty straight forward tool to connect with certain influential individuals in major cities.
Review: In examining this site I can see the convenience it brings to artists and venues allowing both to connect together. The site is functional and pretty easy to get around on.
When comparing it to other art based social networks the niche that it fills is slightly different. It isn’t about people generating art and trying to share it, the focus is on events, galleries, and artists. This is something that sets the site apart in this niche.
