Site: Wamba

Members:????

Features: Users can create profiles on Wamba that allows them to connect with other people, message them, join groups, and upload content including photos, music, videos, and articles. There is a large classifieds system, shopping portal, and an online radio station.

One of the features that the site has is “zones” where people are split up by geographical locations, interests, and by uh… dance.

Review: Personally I had a lot of issues with Wamba in my initial user experience.

When I was signing up I had a lot of problems inputting data. There were no boxes on some of the key fields and when you went to import information from your mailbox the icons were all on top of each other. Wamba was either developed in either Portuguese or Spanish, while it does offer English, Italian, and French versions there are tons of places throughout the site where it reverts back to the language that it was originally developed for.

The music channel looks like it is powered by the content that is uploaded by users. (I am guessing because of the massive amount of mislabeled songs.) It also looks like the player doesn’t have to respect the standards of other online players. You can freely skip through as many songs as you want (which you can’t with Pandora and other services). I am surprised that the music section hasn’t come under more scrutiny.
